The MFA Control Toolset for LabVIEW Pro Edition?software includes embedded Model-Free Adaptive (MFA) controllers for the LabVIEW environment. NI platforms include PC, PXI, FieldPoint, Compact FieldPoint and CompactRIO. In LabVIEW Real-time, MFA can run faster than one millisecond providing powerful high-speed adaptive control capability for equipment control. The included standard MFA controller VIs (Virtual Instruments) and special MFA controller VIs are listed in the following tables.
MIMO MFA controllers are only available in the Professional Edition. Each MIMO will consume a corresponding number of SISO MFA controllers. For example, if the user has a CLP-04D package, he/she can run the following number of controllers at the same time: 4 SISO MFAs, or 2 SISO MFA and 1 2×2 MFA, or 2 2×2 MFAs, or 1 SISO and 1 3×3 MFA, or 4×4 MFA, and so on. This makes the product very flexible for lab or prototyping use.
